Foundation

The terms you need before any SP thread on Reddit or in the GOC community makes sense.

Specific PersonSP

Community shorthand for a particular person someone is trying to manifest a relationship with — usually a romantic interest, an ex, or someone who currently feels out of reach. SP manifestation is the most searched topic in the Law of Assumption community, and it’s the branch of the work where self-concept matters most.

What SP manifestation means
Third Party3P

A person perceived as a romantic rival or obstacle standing between you and your SP — the new partner, the ex who reappeared, the friend who seems too close. In EIYPO terms, the third party is a reflection of your own fears and assumptions, not an independent threat you need to compete with.

Getting rid of a third party
SP Manifestation vs. General Manifestation

General manifestation works on outcomes: a job, a home, an amount of money. SP work adds a second consciousness to the equation — theirs — which is why the community treats it as its own discipline with its own vocabulary. The mechanics are identical. What changes is how personally people take the waiting.

Self-Concept

Your beliefs about who you are, applied to love specifically: am I the kind of person who gets chosen, kept, prioritized? SP work that skips self-concept and goes straight to affirming about the other person tends to stall, because the subconscious is still running an old belief about your own worth underneath it.

Self-concept and SP work
Everyone Is You Pushed OutEIYPO

The idea that your SP is reflecting your own assumptions back to you — not their personality, your beliefs about them. Applied to love, it reframes the whole practice: you’re not persuading a separate person to change their mind, you’re changing the assumption that’s producing their behavior in your experience.

EIYPO explained

Words the community uses

Terms that show up constantly in SP threads and DMs — some borrowed from psychology, some invented by the community itself.

Limerence

A psychology term the SP community adopted for the involuntary, intrusive-thought version of infatuation — checking their socials fifteen times a day, replaying one interaction for a week. Worth naming honestly: limerence and a calm, held assumption are different states, and the community’s better advice usually points toward regulating the nervous system first.

Twin Flame

A New Age framework describing an intensely mirrored connection, often paired with a “runner and chaser” dynamic where one person pulls away as the other pursues. It’s a separate tradition from Neville’s work, not a Law of Assumption term, but it shows up constantly in SP spaces because the emotional experience overlaps.

Soulmate

Popular shorthand for a “destined” partner. In Law of Assumption terms this gets reframed rather than rejected: nothing outside your consciousness is predetermining who you end up with, and the person you assume as your partner is the one your assumption will produce.

Runner / Chaser

A pattern where one person withdraws as the other pursues, most often discussed alongside twin flame language. The SP community’s usual read: chasing is 3D behavior driven by an unheld assumption, and the fastest way to stop being the chaser is to stop needing the runner to prove anything.

Persona Non GrataPNG

Community shorthand for treating your SP as if they no longer exist in your inner conversations — not ignoring them in 3D, ignoring them in your imagination. It’s a mental-diet tool for people who keep rehearsing arguments or scenarios with their SP, meant to starve the old assumption of attention rather than to punish the person.

Reciprocation

The feeling being returned — your SP wanting you the way you want them. In the community, “SP reciprocates” is the shorthand people search for most, and the common mistake is treating reciprocation as something to extract from the other person instead of a state to assume from within yourself first.

The process

What it looks like to actually hold an assumption about another person while real life keeps happening around you.

No Contact

A stretch of silence from your SP’s side — no texts, no interaction, sometimes weeks or months. The community treats it as a normal, expected part of the process rather than evidence the manifestation failed, since the bridge of incidents is under no obligation to include daily contact on the way to the outcome.

Manifesting through no contact
Detachment

Releasing your grip on exactly when or how your SP shows up. In love work this is the hardest form of detachment to reach, since it can feel like giving up on the person you want. It isn’t. It’s the difference between wanting them and needing proof from them before you’ll believe it’s done.

Detachment without giving up
Persisting Through Doubt

Continuing to hold your assumption about your SP even when their visible behavior contradicts it — they’re seeing someone else, they haven’t texted, they seem to have moved on. This is the point most people give up in SP work specifically, because the evidence feels personal in a way a job or a house never does.

How to keep persisting
Circumstances Don’t Matter

The principle applied to SP work: your SP’s current relationship status, distance, or history with you has no power to determine the outcome. It only describes where things stand today. What determines the outcome is the assumption you’re holding now, not the paper trail behind it.

Circumstances don’t matter
Ignoring the 3D

Not letting what you see — their social media, mutual friends’ updates, the fact they haven’t reached out — override the state you’re holding. In SP work this usually means a real, practical decision to stop checking, because every check is a small vote for the old assumption.

Ignoring 3D reality
Meddle in the Middle

Trying to control exactly how your SP comes back — should I text first, what if I show up where they’ll be, should a mutual friend say something. All meddling. The bridge decides the path; your job is the end state, not the choreography.

The bridge isn’t yours to manage
Signs You’re Manifesting Your SP

The small precursors people look for before an SP manifestation lands — dreaming about them, mutual friends mentioning them unprompted, a sudden calm about the outcome. Useful as encouragement, less useful as a checklist to obsess over; the most reliable sign is still your own internal shift.

Techniques for love work

The named techniques the community reaches for specifically when the desire involves another person.

Love Letter Method

Writing a letter to your SP (or your future partner) as if the relationship is already real, describing what you appreciate and how it feels to be loved by them. You don’t send it. The letter’s job is to put you in the feeling of already having it, on paper, in detail.

The love letter method
Whisper Method

Whispering your SP’s name and a short affirmation before falling asleep, often three times. The TikTok-viral version of a much older idea — the drowsy state before sleep is when the subconscious is most receptive, and whispering keeps the words physical without fully waking you up.

The whisper method
Pillow Method

Repeating an affirmation about your SP with your head on the pillow, right before sleep — a cousin of the whisper method built around the same principle: the last thing your mind processes before it lets go is the impression it carries through the night.

The pillow method
Telephone Technique

Imagining your SP calling with the news you want to hear — reaching out, apologizing, saying what you’ve wanted to hear. Neville’s original technique, applied to a relationship instead of a general desire; the phone makes the scene feel ordinary rather than staged.

The telephone technique
SATS for SP

Using the drowsy pre-sleep state to run a short, first-person scene with your SP — a hug, a specific sentence they say, the feeling of being back together. The scene should be brief and sensory, not a whole storyline, since a longer scene tends to pull you out of the drowsy state and back into planning.

SATS for your SP
Scripting for SP

Journaling your relationship with your SP as if it’s already happening — how you met back up, what a normal Tuesday looks like now. Present-tense, specific, and written from inside the relationship rather than about wanting it.

Scripting your SP story
SP Affirmations

Affirmations built specifically for SP work — “I am loved,” “I am chosen,” “I attract reciprocated love” — that point inward at your own self-concept rather than outward at controlling the other person. The community’s consistent finding: outward-pointed SP affirmations (“he texts me”) tend to feel forced in a way inward ones don’t.

Revising the Relationship

Applying Neville’s revision technique to a specific memory with your SP — replaying an argument, a breakup conversation, or an awkward moment as you wish it had gone. Not to rewrite what happened, but to release the emotional charge you’re still carrying from it.

Manifest an Ex Back

Manifesting the return of a former partner. The community draws a sharp line here between manifesting and chasing: reaching out repeatedly, monitoring their new relationship, or trying to engineer a run-in is 3D effort standing in for an unheld assumption. The inner work looks the same as any other SP case — the difference is resisting the urge to act it out externally.

Manifest a Text From Someone Who Ghosted You

One of the most-searched SP outcomes: getting a message from someone who cut off contact without explanation. The waiting period here overlaps heavily with no contact, and the community’s advice leans hard on detachment, since checking your phone constantly is its own vote against the assumption.

Manifesting a text after ghosting
Manifest Marriage

Manifesting a proposal, a wedding, or a specific level of commitment from a current or future partner — the outcome-level SP goal, past reconciliation into a defined future. Requires holding a longer timeline than most SP work, which is its own persistence challenge.

Manifesting marriage
Manifest Someone Away

The reverse of standard SP work — using the same mechanics to remove someone from your life or your circumstances rather than bring them closer. Same principle, opposite target: you assume their absence the way you’d otherwise assume their presence.

Manifesting someone away
Dream Relationship

Manifesting the relationship rather than the specific person — the qualities, the feeling, the dynamic, open to who embodies it. A different entry point than SP work for people who are less attached to one particular person and more focused on what they want the relationship itself to feel like.

Manifesting for Someone Else

Doing SP-style imaginal work on behalf of a friend or family member’s love life rather than your own — helping them heal from a breakup, wishing them a good match. Adjacent to SP work rather than part of it, since the assumption you’re changing is your belief about someone else’s situation.

Manifesting for someone else
Making Someone Like You

The earlier-stage version of SP work — shifting how someone feels about you before there’s a relationship to reconcile. Often searched by people who feel like they’ve already lost, which is why persistence and self-concept work carry more weight here than any single technique.

Deeper mechanics

Why SP manifestation works the way it does — the reasoning underneath the techniques above.

Naturalness

The point where being with your SP feels ordinary rather than like a prize you finally won. In love work this is a useful gauge for how close the assumption is to landing — a relationship you can picture calmly is closer than one that still feels like a fantasy.

Naturalness in love manifestation
Limiting Beliefs About Love

The assumptions underneath most stuck SP cases — “I always get left,” “good things don’t last for me,” “he’s not over his ex.” These usually predate the current SP by years and were just waiting for a relationship to attach themselves to.

Overcoming limiting beliefs
Bridge of Incidents

The sequence of events that brings your SP back into your life — a mutual friend’s party, an old contact resurfacing, a message that arrives out of nowhere. You don’t need to plan how it happens. You need to stop trying to.

The bridge of incidents
Law of Assumption vs. Law of Attraction

Two different frameworks people bring to SP work. Law of Attraction treats your SP as something to attract through vibration; Law of Assumption treats the relationship as already existing in consciousness, waiting to be assumed. The distinction matters practically — assumption doesn’t leave room for “trying to raise your vibe about him.”

LoA vs. LoAtt for SP work
Success Stories

Real accounts of SP manifestations that worked, used less as motivational content and more as proof that the mechanics hold across very different starting situations — no contact, long distance, someone in another relationship.

“Why Focusing on Their Feelings Stops Your Manifestation”

The identity-level explanation for why so much SP work stalls: fixating on what your SP is currently feeling keeps the assumption pointed outward, at a person you can’t directly control, instead of inward, at the self-concept you can. The community consistently reports faster movement once the focus shifts from “make them feel this” to “become the person this is natural for.”

I’ve coached SP cases for over 16 years, and I only teach what I’ve personally manifested. This glossary reflects how the community actually talks about specific-person work: not textbook definitions, but the language people use in the middle of no contact, at 2am, wondering if it’s still happening. Every definition here comes from real coaching conversations, not a dictionary.
